about the music

I know it is sometimes interesting to learn why a song or album has been written.  So I have decided to put in an "about me" page.... although there is nothing really glamorus about me, (I can be usually found in my basement playing the guitar with messy hair....) but the words to the songs have a real special meaning to me.  The last few years were probably the hardest in my Christian walk and through prayer me and my wife have found our deep rooted issues were the feelings of failure and not measuring up to the unrealistic expectations we have put on ourselves.  We have both grown up listening to a doctrine that seems to expect more and more from you and when you have a lull and try to catch your breath you are considered less spiritual or backslidden.  When confronted with this type of "false righteousness" for many years one gets discouraged and eventually gives up (or gets really depressed) .  Well, if you feel like that this album is for you!  Through the Word we now know that God's yoke is easy and burden is light!  Thats not to say you will face storms and trials ect. but  you can rest assured God will be with you, He is on your side and goes before you.... True righteosness is knowing that you are NOT perfect and that you WILL fail but that God is their to give you strength in your weakness!  That is what this album is all about.
